REASON FOR THE SEASON UNITY CELEBRATION
Rockland churches will be uniting with music, songs and skits in celebration of Christmas at the Palisades Mall! Friday, December 19th at 6:30pm in front of Lord & Taylor. Gracepoint's Choir will be performing at 8:15pm. Set-up will begin at 4:30pm and we'd appreciate anyone from Gracepoint willing to lend a hand.
SEARCHING FOR THE KING, Christmas Musical
Two Men... Same place... Same stars... 2000 years apart. Both are Searching for the King. Don't miss this year's Christmas musical! December 20th & 21st, 7pm at Gracepoint. Invite a friend to experience the story. Admission is free.
We'll have services on Christmas Eve at 6pm and 11pm and Christmas morning at 10am. Let's celebrate the birth of our savior, the light of the world.
NEW YEAR'S EVE
Let's ring in the new year together! Bring a salad, entree or dessert for the potluck dinner at 8:30pm. Service begins at 10pm. Daryl & Diana will lead worship and do a mini-concert. Testimonies, Bible reading, and Communion will follow. Sign up at the ministry table in the church lobby after services.
CHRISTMAS OFFICE HOURS
Gracepoint's office will be closed and staff will not be in from 12/25-1/4. Should you have an urgent matter, call the office. One of the pastors will be available each day, with the exception of Christmas and New Year’s Day.
PRAYER IN THE NEW YEAR
“If my people should humble themselves and pray...”. It is in prayer we acknowledge our dependence on God and His Holy Spirit. Let’s believe God for great things in 2015. Four nights to seek His face - Sunday, 1/4; Tuesday, 1/6; Wednesday, 1/7 and Sunday, 1/11. God will not do apart from prayer what He says He will do in answer to prayer.
We'll be starting a new sermon series in January and are encouraging community groups to reconvene after the week of prayer (1/4-1/11) and participate in the church-wide study. Pick up a study guide in the lobby after services. DVD’s will be available for group leaders.
If you're not in a community group, get connected and register online here.
Upcoming Baptism services will be held on December 27/28 and February 21/22. Each candidate must first attend a one-hour Baptism class, which will be held on the first Sunday of those months, at 10:45am. You may sign up at the ministry table, or call Janice at 634-7828 x100. Read more about basptism here.
Fridays, 7:30pm, Room 3 - Even if you went through a divorce years ago, there may be unresolved issues, sometimes under the surface. This group involvement and teaching will help you work through the pain, bitterness, anger, rejection and unforgiveness resulting from a divorce.
TUESDAY NIGHT PRAYER
Prayer is the key component in our walk with Jesus. It's a direct line of communication with a living God who listens, cares, acts and speaks. Every Tuesday the Chapel is open at 7pm for a time to connect with God. Come and plug into the power of prayer.
LAUGH YOUR WAY TO A BETTER MARRIAGE SEMINAR
Unlike many traditional marriage seminars that tend to be overly serious, technical and emotionally taxing, the Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage seminar is different because it helps couples deal with tough issues in a way that is fun and non-threatening. Through the two-day seminar, couples will laugh, learn and be able to make real positive changes in their marriage.
March 20th & 21st at Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship church
